PATRICK JOHN CAIRNS (GRAVE 94)

Chief Technician Cairns was a Scotsman, known as Tam to his friends; he was married to his wife Sarah and had four children. Employed as an Aircraft Fitter at Scampton, he would no doubt have worked on the Vulcan that still formed a vital part of Britain’s nuclear deterrent at the time. He died of natural causes aged 49.
